Crossgates Community Primary School is a primary school for children aged 4 to 11. Following the Powys Admission policy children may start school in Crossgates at the beginning of the academic year after they have their 4th birthday.
The school is a new building remodelled and extended in 2009 to a capacity of 210. Currently there is approximately 143 pupils on roll over five classes, two in the Foundation Phase, one split FP/KS2 and two in Key Stage 2.
The school is set in approximately six acres of beautiful grounds which thanks to grants from the lottery funded “Open Spaces” and “The Prince’s Trust” have been developed to include woodland areas, an orchard, allotment type planters and areas to further develop the children’s learning.
